Festival of Play and Creativity Workshop 2021

This is a yearly city festival that takes place in Leeds. The team was plotting a city-wide festival celebrating play and creativity in all it's wonderful forms in February Half Term 2021. The idea behind the festival is to connect communities int Leeds through socially engaging and fun activities.

The workshop started off by introducing their brief and soon enough the discussion on how to create engaging intergenerational activities for the festival began. My engagement with these play consultants inspired some ideas and suggestions on how to engage with the community. Some of these include tools of engagement. During the workshop, we had the opportunity to write down our ideas and suggestions on a big centre table or sticky notes with sharpies and coloured pens.

I also met a couple of people that I talked to about my studio brief and they were kind enough to give me some contacts they felt would be helpful to my projects. It was really worth it and I’m glad I attended.
